New Build from the States
Re: New Build from the States
The Leed unit was the one I was looking actually, as it is apparently very quiet in operation. Would you recommend using this purely for the brake booster, and does that mean the booster uses just the pump for vacuum without needing engine vacuum any more?

It’s pretty quiet. You definitely can’t hear when the engine is running. Compared to the piston styles it’s definitely what they claim, 60% quieter. Yes no need to use the engine vacuum. It has a relay that shuts on and off as it requires vacuum. The manifold vacuum then is only used for the AC switch assembly, along with the three vacuum bladder actuators. On all of my cars at least one out of the three has been bad, meaning there is a constant vacuum leak.Jorrocks wrote:The Leed unit was the one I was looking actually, as it is apparently very quiet in operation. K&D in America has these now. George figured out the stroke and pressure, then had a bunch manufactured with the label Jensen interceptor on them. Highly recommended.

Getting the cars ready for the first car show / festival at our winery, Belle Vie Vineyard and Event Center. We had quite the turn out for first one.

Hi Mark,
I like the gas struts and also the heat shielding on the hood, nice! Do you still need to use the hood prop rod or are they strong enough on their own?
Keep those two beauties between the ditches, John

Sorry for the delayed response. The gas struts work great however you do need the Pop Ups Or original lift springs.

Mark. With respect to your sway bar Hyme joints. What you do about the tapered holes in the factory receivers? RacerJoe

Finally At It Again
So I’ve been working on the Coupe again after being gone for quite a while working on another large project. Nice to see so many of you still keeping up with your projects. I also want to thank Adam who is A JOC members for coming by. He’s a professional photographer and Jensen Enthusiast. Took some amazing pictures of our cars. Thanks Adam

Re: New Build from the States
Other than some gremlins the only unfinished project which I’ve been dreading for over two years was making the rear windscreen trim. This is one of those projects that’s definitely way above my pay grade. I had to reach back out to Mark S. who originally helped me with the car. A true master craftsman when it comes to working with metal.

Re: New Build from the States
So basically the process was taking a few full front windscreen trim pieces that were from donor cars and having them D chromed. Then cutting them into usable sections.
