Just to confuse - Zac's C-V8

Post by zacmarshall »

Just to confuse both Zacs in the club now have blue C-V8 IIs

I sold the FF on Tuesday, after telling various people I was going to take a brake from Jensen ownership and pay down the mortgage a bit ready for a job change I made the mistake of speaking to Andy Brooks.

When I bought my SP at Cropedy back in 2000 I actually went to look at a C-V8. 16 years and 10 or so Jensens later I finally have a C-V8.

Andy put me in touch with the owner of CHJ 948B, some of you may remember the car from last years International. The car has had lots of work over the last few years and in the words of the seller needs taking to the next level.

Thanks for Andy, John Staddon and Lewi for their help and advice.

I'm almost hoping Shaun's Interceptor isn't ready for Classic LeMans, I really fancy driving a C-V8 through France with the webasto roof open :D

All I've got to do now is figure how to own up to Sarah - Andy is going to collect the car for me and do a few jobs so I have a little while....

Congratulations Zac - one step further towards your ultimate aim of owning a 541!

Is this the car next to the yellow Healey at the International?

Looks beautiful Zachary. I must confess CV8s have really grown on me since I joined the club.

Yes. I did think about the 541S Andrew Cassar has for sale but hopefully the purchase and rolling restoration / improvement of 2146 will still allow me to make inroads into the mortgage. I would have ended up spending fortune on that 541S.

The car looks a lot better in the photo, it needs work on the interior and fit of the drivers door plus a few other issues, the seller sent me warts and all photos which along with comments from other people were why I bought the car.

Lots of leather renovation / repair and general C-V8 questions to follow...

Congratulations but, actually, the other Zac owns a MKIII C-V8 :D
Very nice car all the same Zac - but, I can no longer refer to the other Zac as "C-V8 Zac".
Also, "Zac2" might confuse people as you have the C-V8 2 and he has a C-V8 3..... :?

Congratulations Zac! I have not met you in person, however you have not struck me as someone who would stay out of the game for long.

How about 'Grumpy Zac'? Or even better, 'Grumpy Zac' and 'even more Grumpy Zac'.

I'll get my coat.

Just goes to show how much I have to learn about C-V8s

Grumpy Zac :-)

Although a little less grumpy now I have sold the FF and can afford to eat, and a little less grumpy now that I can still turn up to events in a Jensen :D
