Jensen 541S V8

Post by Frankoid »

I am trying to find old photographs (and letters, documents etc.) of Donald Healeys Jensen 541S, particularity any pictures with the great man and his car together. Below is a photo taken in 1996 outside the Healey works in Warwick.

On the way back from the 541 60th in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Andi and I were very impressed, one of the nicest and most stylish Jensen I have ever seen- and fast!

A British sports car, a house being thatched and a woman clutching a white cardie around herself - could there be anything more British?

Hey Grant. I was grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat doing a lot of smiles per hour.... until the brakes seized on  I loosened the bolts of the master cylinder to relieve the pressure on the system and got home with no more unwanted drama. Looking at the tag on the master cylinder it reads DOM (Date of manufacture?) 19 10 60 so it probably needs attention! I will get on the case next week. I have got a spare newly refurbished Dunlop servo & master cylinder for CV8 MkIII, Interceptor I & II but it will not fit the 541S without a lot of modification...
