Mathias and I grabbed the flag yesterday at the German Mopar Nationals and showed them what real power is :)

No timing there.
I was a bit faster at the end of the runway :-) and had the opportunity to proof that also against american muscles.

We now know what a good CV8 is compared to a better one.
Good to see how well Mathias car did it compared to my beast.

On my way home I made 350 miles in 4 hours 30. 5th gear really helps on long distance.

Joerg

The black car was a AMC Gremlin - bloody fast but engine blown in first run,

A seventies AMC Gremlin. Very odd shape, which was the norm for AMC it seems (remember the Pacer). The Gremlin was available with a V8!

Gentlemen,
these are supposed to be gentlemans sporting automobiles, designed for refined cruising across continents.
Well done for showing the rest of the world what a product of a small Midlands company can do.
Keep it up !!
I will presume that a high percentage of the crowd had no idea of what the cars were, if not. please correct me.

More info on the Jensen times please , and what the Americana times were, would be interesting. The modifications to all vehicles need to be taken into account, but a t least the Jensens still have their correct interiors, and so are useable on a daily basis.
