Agree on the front sway bar, a stiffer one is probably the best bang for the buck on the handling side, especially as you have done all the other pieces. Easy for a good spring shop just remember to reinforce the attachment point to the lower arm spring perch plate, it's a bit of a weak point.

Thanks for checking into that tire size. I was previously thinking 235/55/17, and I may still go with that since it's pretty close to what you've got there.

I have been away from the forum for some time but have had a lot of fun with HW5397 over the years.

I had a dyno tune mainly to change the ignition and get a few horsepower. The dyno gave 310 rear wheel HP and 707 Nm. It has always been a torque monster.

Nice curves Trevor. Glad you are having fun with the car.

The 440 does want to make good torque with little mods. Mine produced 691Nm a few years ago, original bottom end (with many miles) mild head porting, Edelbrock Performer intake, Carter/Edelbrock carb and S&S headers. Doesn't match your HP with 270, also on a Dyno Pak but 2nd gear runs which I think underestimates HP a little compared to top gear?

Did you increase the size of your sway bar?

Yes I have a beefy swaybar and stiffer front springs. It goes nicely around corners with minimal roll.

Any thoughts on the rear suspension? I have coil overs which help but the rear is loose compared with the front.

Hi Trevor,

Good to hear things going well. I have some thoughts and experience of a variety of rear suspension changes but it's a bit like asking for a piece of string - what size, how long, what are you going to use it for and does it have to be the same piece of string the original had.

If you have the same email as about 3 years ago I will put something together for you, if it has changed please PM or email me.
