Restoration of 140/8732

Post by Scorpio »

In December of 2013 i bought 140/8732, former car of Felix (after the engine bay went up in flames) together with 140/8732 (mainly as spare parts car).

In my blog (link below), i try to capture the progress in restoring 140/8732. (sorry for writing in german there :D )

Good news that this formerly gorgeous car will rise again!

I'm very happy with where the car has gone to, jakob is doing a great job. I still love that car! and according to jakob, it turned out that it was a very solid car as I had been led to believe. very pleased about that too.

Hey Felix,

unfortunately i still have not chosen the colour yet. I like white, but a darker colour would definitely fit the large amout of chrome better.
I´m still thinking about fitting a vinyl roof (tan or mocca). Quite a difficult decisions, partly because of the mocca leather interior.

The next step will be to paint the engine bay, and as i want to have it the same colour as the exterior of the car, i´ll have to hurry up

Do you have any ideas about that?

Too many dark Interceptors around!
Go for something more 70th like Tangerine (a fantastic combo with mocca interior) or a bright yellow.

I'd also be tempted to say not metallic or blue- but reef blue for example is a fantastic color and would go well with the interior, possibly even with a black roof (if you are intent on vinyl). tough decision! the loud colors are super, but I think I'd prefer a black interior to go with those.

How about California Sage? Not that common but would work very well with the interior

Latest picture I received from Jakob. The car looks excellent, well done. Before and after.

I like the white, white engine bay with the black steering rack and suspension, plus black and chrome engine parts, stunning
