It's makes so much difference a rolling road tune doesn't it, getting everything spot on,new Dizzy and mixture correct and they pull like
you've had an engine buildImage
It's the torque that makes them feel so powerful, but another 30Hp is alot, did you get a Torque curve/Hp print out Eddie?..If so, can you post a copy of it up EddieManImage I love reading themImage..Maybe I should get out moreImage...........Image
Grant, yes I love the look of the car on the back of the trailer. Especially with the filthy old truck.

No I didn’t get a readout. What I really wanted from the rolling road session was a car that runs sweet and gives me more pleasure to drive. So reality is I wasn’t actually that interested in the power. I was happy that when I left it had more HP, but the drivability means more to me.

John told me some of people he sees get hung up on power. They will chase more power, add bits and go back for more rolling road time.

Guess I’m just easily pleased :D :D :D

Hi Eddie,

Its been a long time mate, glad you're still on the planet and as ever your car looks stunning. Don't forget you still want a MK1 and even though I love mine, I'm still up for a straight swap.

Look forward to catching up soon.

Thanks Kev, hope all is well with you, assume you are back to full on again at work. It seems to have gone from zero to 100 mph in events in no time at all.

Yes hope to catch up with you at some point this year 👍🚗💨

Utterly charming. You must be very proud.

Yes indeed a fantastic picture. Congratulations and best wishes to your daughter.

Those wheels still look fantastic. They are really setting the car off. The radiator restoration looked especially good too. I am wondering though, do any photos of the car on the stand in 1970 exist that we know of? I had a quick search and couldn't find any.

Thanks John,

I don’t know of any photos of the car on the stand at Earls Court.

You would have thought there would be at least one image somewhere. But I’ve never had any luck.

Hopefully one will turn up one day.
