After two weeks of cleaning, well two days really over two weeks, one last job to be done was to get the aircon sorted out, so Pat from Fen Air, nice chap, came to check and reconnect the aircon.... The good new's is when the system was pressured there was only a small leak.. The bad news was it came from the compressor... the cam inside has somehow got bent,, as it has never been used since we have owned the car and with everything else we have now done to the car over the years, was we suprised?.... Not really..
I think we are the only owners that have ever started to look after UJD.
So a new York Compressor is needed.. OUCH..
Still done without it for 10 years, so a few more months won't hurt.

The car is now safely home and ready to use.. Heres to the first 500 miles....

Its been a long time coming, had to wait three weeks after the car coming home to use it for a good run, so as this weekend was the International that was the place to go, so got up early Sunday morning and off we went. Meet up with Derek who owns the P66 on the way, safety in numbers..... It was good to meet up with everyone again.

The ran as sweet as it could, 230miles round trip, everything done what it should. Happy days.

Is that foam seal for the bonnet (around the periphery of the opening) the correct, original type?
The reason I ask is because I have the same thing on my car and I thought it was something added by a previous owner. I never thought it might be original or correct.
