Hello,
I'm fresh new french member of JOC, but really new owner. I'm lucky owner of 1969 LHD Interceptor MKI.
I bought that car in Germany in 2013 as a old restored car but useable one. I was looking for a MKI but not a LHD when i found it, impossible to miss it, even if i see quickly that "restoration" was not the right definition of what had been done on it.
My car is chassis number 117/3149, sold in Germany, in Hambourg i think.
I don't have a lot of history about it.
It's now registered in France.

After some long trips, from germany, in Ireland, across France, car was stored for several years due to other projects (other british car projects).
In the mean time i restored an Austin Healey BT7, a Gilbern GT (with zetec conversion), a stag and a Jaguar MK2.
Now, it's time to bring it to its former glory !!
Car is complete apart from original Steering Wheel and selectarides. Steering wheel is motolita at the moment and i have a full NOS selectarides set but it seems not to be for Inteceptor application...
With my family and friends we are scheduling a tour in Scoltand in 2023, plan is to get the interceptor ready for october next year. A real challenge.
I'm happy to join that club and to discuss with Jensen owners.
I will try to post pictures asap.

Nice to see you on here! Those pictures look familiar. There are quite a few owners "on the continent" these days. Not so many in France!

Bonjour Aurélien,
Next year 2023 is the 100th anniversary of Le Mans, there will be an extra Le Mans Classic from 29th June and the JOC will be there. If you wish to join us, you may like to keep this date also in mind with your restoration plans.
Good luck, Chris.

Re: New french member
thanks for your messages.
I will certainly be in LMC next year but i don't have a clue about the car i will have ready for it
Last time we choose the Gilbern GT for LMC and goodwood revival, but for sure my sons will prefer bigger car in the future to sit in the back. Healey and Cerbera are already too small now for them.
Is there some french owner on this forum ?

Aurelien
Welcome to the Jensen Owners Club
A small amount of information on your car:
Chassis No 117/3149
Ex Factory 07.05.1969
I believe the 30th Left Hand Drive Car produced
Originally Registration NUmber ROE 441 G but went directly to Germany
Originally White with a Black Interior
Factory Fitted Options included Sundym Glass, Voxson Radio/Cartridge Player and Fiamm Air Horns
Was recorded on the JOC Interceptor 1 register as being For Sale in October 2010 and on the JOC Forum as being For Sale on 05.04.2013 in Europe
The colour had by 2010 been changed to Metallic Grey ?
Kind regards
