AGM Jensen Car Club (JCC) of Switzerland

Post by felixkk »

Yesterday we held our AGM. Martin Rudolf had announced that it will no longer be possible for him to continue as chairman with his family and his business leaving too little time for the club. Martin has held the post since 2013 and we're very sorry to see him go, but we fully understand his decision and want to thank him for the many hours he dedicated to the club. We'll be missing him at the committee meetings, which usually involve a few rounds of beer.

Andi Kreis has thankfully volunteered to take on the post, and was elected yesterday by the members. He will continue to provide the technical support for the club. Michi Koch, Mark Imhof and I will continue as members of the committee.

We have decided to hold an International Meet here in Switzerland next year, probably in October. Details will follow.

We are honored to have you Chris! Would you be interested in possibly organizing the trip to Switzerland for the atendees from the UK (and, who knows- Ireland)?

The preliminary idea would be to meet up in Mulhouse, where there is a fantastic museum (Collection Schlumpf) and some fun roads in the hills of Alsace. Then on Saturday we'd attend the British Car meet in Morges (http://www.british-cars.ch/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). On Sunday we'd possibly head up into the alps.

Many thanks for your kind words - also to those who sent out a PM. But in fact our members didn't have much of a choice: There was only one person foolishly enough to volonteer for being the chairman of the JCC :D

On a more important note: We are very pleased to hear that Jens and Chris have already booked in for the "2018 International Jensen Meeting" that will be held in Switzerland. For all of you who want to follow the decision of the said two wise men: Please reserve the following dates: Friday 5th of October - Sunday 7th of October 2018. Switzerland is waiting for you!

Kind regards

Andy

Super! We just discussed the programme this week and I shall be doing a post in the General section sometime soon.

Here's Andi being formally sworn in as the JCC president. Millions attended the inaugration, it was huge.

Recent tweets from The Donald regarding the JCC swearing in ceremony:

Great!

Best words!

So great!

This is REAL news.

Biggest story today.

The FAKE news seldom likes talking about that.

Sad.

I look very much forward to working with him!

Just reading down some of the mails here , it seems that there may be a gathering in Mulhouse in 2018. A long time away but why not.
Since the start of this year I have been coordinating the JOC in France and especially trying to get the owners list up to date. I am sure that we could get a small group together for a meeting in Mulhouse,France. We have members around Lyon , in Grenoble and on the South coast etc.
Please keep me in touch with the organisation it would be super to get a Franco-Swiss connection going .

Best Regards
Nigel

Hi Nigel

Excellent! One the the things on our to do list is to get in touch with the French owners. Not only for the meet in 2018, but also for the British Car Meet in Morges on Oct 7th of this year, which we'll be attending. I know that one or two people from France attended last year. It would be great to meet up.
