Hi Felix,
We are preparing for our stand at the British Car & Lifestyle show in March.
HJG has been very succesful there and we have won best clubstand, 2nd and 3 rd during the years.
I noticed the 50 years logo in your programme sheet and like it...
Can we please have your permission to use this in our Presentation?
We would only change the word Jahre info Jaar.

Thanks!!
We will have an FF MK1 in the stand and hope to have an Interceptor MK1 too. Alternatively we will have a MKII.
Plans are to have a continuous "powerpoint " presentation on screen, showing images of all FF and Interceptors. Hopefully some film footage too. Should be good....
Regards, Han

Pretty cool Felix.
Bit slippery I assume. Intermediates or rain tyres?
Who was the fastest?

Was great fun (quite addictive). No official timing. Our first run was quite slow- in the second run we tried to give each other a bit more room to allow for the different speeds. Fastest, I think, would have been Heini in his (tuned) Interceptor- he's been racing (Porsche) and rallying for most of his life. The C-V8 performed well (as expected or hoped)! The rear broke out twice- once at the start and quite scaringly about 100m after the first curve doing around 80kmh.
Andi had been working day and night to get his FF ready- which he managed- but just barely. He managed to do a test drive the evening before and was in the garage until Sunday morning. It will be MOTed in the coming weeks before Turin. Andi had expected that the car was needing a complete restoration- but discovered that the chassis was exceptionally healthy with almost no rot, one in a hundred I suppose.
PS don't the cars look good with the numbers?

Next (minor) incident. This time Mark Imhofs Interceptor, one of the fans stopped working. Martin always at hand when there was something to be done.

Finally lunch on the Ofenpass, albeit an hour behind schedule. I don't know why Michi (Mike) wore a Porsche t-shirt, but we made him regret it.

Some of chose to to take the short cut through the tunnel, while others chose to take the longer route (me). This is what they missed:

Then dinner, on muotos muragle, 2456m. Lovely (quite fancy) restaurant. Me in shorts
, and freezing. Afterwards we found a bar near the hotel and everything went a bit blurry.

Pretty cool tour Felix, and some great pictures.
The Stelvio is my absolute favourite pass in the Alps. What a joy with whatever car.
I can fully understand Michi with the Porsche shirt, my best drive there was with my old 911 C2.

Wouldn't mind doing the pass with the Porsche either- but the C-V8 does very well for the it's size.
Here's Michi's Porsche, driving the tour we just did this May:
