John in Portland, OR with a 1973 Interceptor. Currently, trying to figure out how to convince the wife we need to "remodel" the garage more than the basement!

Re: Roll Call North America
make her spend a week in each one....and do not leave the car running in the garage...that would be taking an unfair advantage

My name is Chuck, and I live in Tucson Arizona. I have 1972 Mark III, Serial number 133/5597.
I am the fourth owner, and I've talked to owners #2 & #3. I've got a clear set of paperwork all the way back to the original purchase.
I am looking forward to a little further in the fall, or the weather in Tucson is not so blistering hot so I can drive my car around a lot more...

Re: Roll Call North America
Ray Brandes, Panama City Beach, Florida.
Myself and two others bought a package of two J-H's. A rusty one with motor and trans and one not so bad without the running gear.
We were helping out a fellow club member who got deployed and he was helping out a fellow soldier who was helping out his dad who was moving to smaller quarters.
Knowing little about the marque and model, we plan to do a Wheeler-Dealer job and get one car running, safe and pretty.
What we will do with it then is still undetermined.
Regards, Ray

Re: Roll Call North America
Welcome, all Jensen cars seem rare around these parts. It has been ages since I have seen a running J-H with an original engine. Seems so many of these find transplants that it is not even funny.....brand X to boot...surely a waste in my opinion! Please keep us updated on your progress. I apologize for not speaking up sooner but have been in landscaping mode about the house, coupled with a few storms passing through, the last was the hurricane that passed over the house and now up to my eyeballs with getting a Sunbeam Alpine up and running after 18 years in a barn. I do not think there was a single wiring system in the car that did not suffer hacked connectors...some folks should not be allowed to own a car much less work on them. Almost to the point of cranking the engine and then if all is well, on to the hydraulics.

Only had it a few weeks. Body work and engine good but having to get it re-wired.
Many admiring looks and comments.
This super looking Interceptor 3 is now up for auction in France next week
What would be great to understand is if anything was done concerning the wiring.
I am the area Rep for France and trying to advise a first time Jensen buyer.
Would be great to hear from you.

Re: Roll Call North America
I started this thread and I apologize for not being vigilant. I am currently deep into another British car along with a rather involved shop addition and a second lift install. Glad to see activity. The current restrictions on gathering put the forums at the forefront for communicating. Take care everyone, keep posting pics....never see too many pictures of these beasts. As an added, just today found a Jensen Healey located buried in a shed out back of the mans house and I do mean buried...I bought 3 other Brit cars but declined on the Healey...

Hi I'm Jim and I'm a Jensen owner. I think that's how the meeting start.
About 18 months ago I purchased a Mk III 2211/1197 (photo attached). Since that time I have traced it's history. Originally sold in Detroit area in mid 1975. Sold to a doctor in Detroit suburb in 1980. He got divorced and moved to New Orleans. Car sold at auction in 1981 in New Orleans area to the owner of 3 Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler dealers in Biloxi Mississippi area. He used it as an attention grabber in his showrooms. Then good news is when I purchased the car had just of 27K miles. The BAD news is the car had just over 27K because it sat!
Since purchasing I've redone almost every piece of rubber in the car, went through the cooling system, recovered the drivers seat, redyed the remainder of the interior. Installed new carpets, carb, rear leaf springs and tires. In addition I've made modifications/improvements to cooling fans, alternator, a/c system, O/D transmission and sway bar. It's now getting to be an enjoyable and reliable driver.
I'm local in Canton, Ohio and suffer daily from British car affliction. Also own 2 TVR's, a pre-war Jag saloon, a Devin Special, a Turner and a couple hot rods one of which has a Jag V12 motor.

Re: Roll Call North America
Here’s a beautiful new car that turned up on the west coast of California. I met the owner through the Jensen Mailing List, and talked him into coming down to our weekly “car guys” happy hour.
It’s a really sweet restoration that was completed about three years ago.
The car was originally his grandmothers daily driver. He purchased the car back from the person who had bought it sometime back, and had it restored. That’s the blue color that his grandmother drove, and he was able to get the same license plates.
Hopefully he will join the forum, and the club, and tell us more about his journey!

Re: Roll Call North America
Any North American C-V8 owners out there? PM me, please. I'm getting mine roadworthy again. I've owned it for almost 2 decades and have never seen another C-V8!
