I spoke to Dave about his Healey - this is his story:

I took voluntary redundancy from BT in 1992, and looked around for a hobby, I saw a Jensen Healey for sale, and remembered that I used to really like them when I was young. So I broke all the rules and bought the first car I saw knowing nothing about the model at all and fell into all the traps.
But it was a hobby I wanted and that’s what I got and lots of it!

Over the years I've had the car I've had it all apart a few times apart from the rear axle and that's still ok. I'm a jack of all trades and master of none so the car will never be concours.

We use the car all year and like to do a lot of various trips around the country and Europe. It's been very reliable over the years only being recovered once. That's tempting fate - oh well :D
