February - Nick Pomeroy's Interceptor III

Post by Keith »

Seen at daughter MIchelle's wedding in September. Nick's car is a real old family friend, he bought it in 1979.

Look at that beautiful bodywork, really shows what I mean by showing off your swage lines by not having a coachline. Not many cars can get away with that.

No, it's a Jensen colour as far as I know. I haven't got my colour chips here at work but I'll have a look tonight.

Copper & is Jensen colour.
Very original old bus, even the tryes were perfect originals which Dave insisted were changed, not sufe Nick did!!!
Yep amazing how few still have that sharpness about them, a restored car wont be same as the tooling is so worn.
The silver mk111 I had was breath taking in this respect, the white one that replaces it is another rare all original factory car (I cant bring myself to fit a door mirror on that either!-makes M25 driving a bit hairy though!!), funny how many folks will rave over colour/ trim, I always admire arrow straightness, even on a slightly jaded example, possibly the body man in me!
SP is super straight & original too, does have a coachline, but royal blue really needs one!!
Have always thought a factory original (as prcticable) class would be great, there are so few surviving & even if still not mint, offers something different.
