Bill Pardoe's gorgeous 541R

Bill bought his 541R in 1968 and drove it for a number of years before putting it away in his sisters hen hut for nearly 30 years. It had a failed clutch but due to the arrival of a new baby the car was left there, due to changed priorities, until he retired. In the pictures you can see a small bonnet repair that Bill tells me was caused by trying to push a telegraph pole over in the snow, whilst taking the car back to Jensen in west Bromwich for a service.
Bill took the car to Graham Green Cars in Longridge Preston to have it restored, it was here that I first saw the car and decided immediately that Graham had to restore my 541. Both cars are a testament to Grahams skills.
Bill enjoys driving the 541R and is not into show and shine, although he was at the spring weekend last year in the car and I think I may have talked him into the International this year :D

It looks wonderful.
Always useful to hear of another restoration specialist recommended by others.

I can't find any trace of the Graham Green garage near Preston. Does he have a different trading name?

 I would be surprised if you did find anything, all his work comes from recommendation / word of mouth, the Garage is Graham Green Cars (Classic restorations) at Whittingham, Longridge Nr Preston. He doesn't do computers in fact he doesn't have an email address! He has a mobile phone but doesn't do text messages! He is a true old school Guru, my car was his 3rd 541 and I believe he is in the process of starting another for a JOC member. His attention to detail shows in all his work, with no corners cut. His specialist field is top end Porsche 911's but is currently working on a Big Healey competition car with history, he has made most of the aluminium body panels himself and it looks stunning (for a Healey  )

a couple of pictures of Grahams latest creation, this was a complete basket case and well beyond economical repair. Graham has rebuilt everything with the exception of the engine which is a Denis Welsh race spec rebuild.

Looks and sounds Awesome and a far better Healey than Jensen ever built
