Post by Delboy »

Hi all
Anyone got any rear indicator bits for sale for Mk1, or any ideas were i can get them.
Anything really, individual lenses, surrounds, or complete.

Try here...

http://www.classiclancia.com/car-parts/ ... ription=on (but make sure you're sat down when they tell you the price)

Or here...

https://www.nuvolaristore.com/coppia-le ... J0yZ75Kg2w

Or here...

http://www.formulavintage.it/shop/fari- ... via-coupe/

I bought my set from the latter, they're very good but not perfect. EUR700 including shipping to the UK.

I found these by doing a Google search for "fari posteriori Lancia Flavia"

Good luck!

Thx Nigel
Just had quite terse reply to my enquiry for purchase of Altissimo Lancia Flavia Coupé PF rear light units from Classic Lancia (Netherlands) stating that they no longer supply to the UK due to the complexity of Customs documentation.

The Dutch lights don't look perfect. Buying these old lights is a problem, they always look better on photos, the prices are often extortionate, and when returns happen due to dissatisfaction there is the question of getting customs charges refunded. If you can struggle on a bit longer with what you have, you may find a new batch of lenses get made in the next couple of years.

Those look lovely Sven. One mod I did, was to run a direct earth to each bulb holder. The tail lights shone like pole stars. I didn't want some rabid sex starved blond Hottie in an XR3i rear ending my prize winning Vignale FF. Sure enough, I was rear ended in South Ruislip (ironically Boris Johnson's constituency!) by an XR3i driven by said blonde! As Kenny would say, all things equal in love and war, I struck an amicable agreement, with said blond and her partner, against the advice of Dave Barnett. Hmm. https://youtu.be/Q3Kvu6Kgp88.
I will say this though, when more than adequately grounded, a Lucas bulb is more than a match for Mussolini, and the finest Italy has to offer, those totally gorgeous Altissimo rear lights. They melted in the arms of the British Lucas "hottie" bulb. It didn't totally melt, just bended.
