1968 FF Parts Required

Post by Mulsanne »

Hello Everyone

My first posting on the Forum and I hope this is the correct section. 3 month ago, I had my truck stolen. Unfortunately, in the truck there were some front end suspension parts that had just been powder coated. The insurance is now on board so my search for replacements can begin. I need the following:

1. Left and right hand steering knuckles with spindles
2. Left and right hand upper control / ‘A’ arms
3. Left and right hand lower control / ‘A’ arms
4. Front sway bar with chassis brackets and links
5. Left and right hand brake caliper brackets
6. Front sub frame assembly for the differential and upper spring mounts
7. Rear axle torsion bar
8. Transmission mount
9. 4 x hubs/bearing carriers
10. 2 x front rotor to hub, hubs
11. 2 x left and right hand shock mounts (2 piece)

Any or all of these parts would be great. The body shell has been completely refurbished, the engine and transmission rebuilt. Hundreds of photographs, if anyone is interested.

Thank you for you assistance, it's grately appreciated.

Hello martyn,

some very rare parts you are looking for, only people I can recommend are Rejen here in south England,, they have broke some FF cars years ago but are also restoring several so may or may not have what you need,

Thieving scum - they'll have no idea just how rare those parts are.. Sorry to hear of your loss.
Richard Appleyard Ltd in the UK may have some of the parts too. Worth giving them a call.

That really stinks! I have been very happy with both Appleyards and Rejen. Delta Mortorsports, 602-265-8026, in Phoenix, has come up with some obscure things for me as well. Nitewing Jensens In LA might have some MKI stuff. Call Leon at 310-215-9715 and leave a message. He will call you back.

Have you contacted Ulric at http://www.jensenmuseum.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?
Also try Dave Barnett the FF registrar.

I think you need to let those people know that the parts have been stolen, and that you are looking for replacements.

Do you have photos of the parts that were in the truck? The front frame, hubs etc, after renovation?
Perhaps you could publicise that on the web, along with a reward for return? At least that might make them less likely to end up in a scrap pile, if people know what they are. It would be really interesting to see pictures of the restoration. You could start a thread in FF tech or similar.

Do JIA discard any of those parts during their FF conversions?

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I have now found a complete front end.

Cheers, Martyn

PS. I have a whole load of photos of the body restoration if it would be of interest.
