1971 original fuel tank - interceptor? FF?

Post by DaveT »

Hi,

I have a good original fuel tank which needs to be scrapped ASAP. The original maker's name indicates that it was manufactured in 1971 and although it came from a 541R it is not correct for a 541R. If anyone needs measurements just ask. It is not leaking, has no external signs of rust but the sealant inside is starting to fail and will probably need chemically cleaning out and replacing with something more resistant to ethanol.

It is free if collected from Colchester, or shipped at your cost. Alternatively, I could wrap it up and bring it to the JOC International this weekend on the back seat of the 541S, which would cost you £50 to be paid to Clive's Prostate cancer fund.

Let me know if you are interested.

That's a very nice gesture Dave, there will be a official donation bucket as well as raffle tickets to purchase for a prize of a neon Jensen Healey sign.

I will be there Saturday morning sometime, not sure what time yet.

This fuel tank has now been collected and is, therefore, no longer available.

Thanks
