Jensen 541R Lucas Distributor

Post by VFK44 »

I have received the following message. Please check that the part number is actually correct before purchase:
I am Mike O'Connor, based in the UK and Healey classic car owner, but whilst tidy my shed for when I used go around autojumble,
I came a across a Jensen 541R Lucas Distributor, which I believe to be New old stock and thought you member would be keen to know.

I am selling on eBay link is:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-Genuine ... Swm-Zay5Hm
Item 273150304926, ends 19th April. £95.00

I have checked the vacuum and the plate moves.
I thought it would be helpful to Jensen 541R Owners.

Kind regards
Mike

The external LT connector does not look quite right to me, it, along with its insulator should go through the casting rather than between the casting and the distributor cap. It might fit the DS5 engine (with the correct drive shaft) but it is not quite the same as the originals in my opinion. Therefore the centrifugal advance weights and springs might also be wrong...
