Post by Chris_R »

Advertised as a Mk1 sill
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JENSEN-INTERC ... Swa~BYRF2G" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't think it is, but what is it?

Treadplate? Diagram shows it attaching to the outer sill. Item 36.
P/N 71646 in the Martin Robey catalog.
Price £22.44

What's that black bar/tube part, in the photograph?
Why the electrical wire connection?

Shaun, please enlighten me where the rear sill goes? The sills go all the way down each side and are much longer.
Ian, no it's not the tread plate. The tread plate has square ends to fit in the door opening, clearly shown if you click "more details".
I can't place anywhere on the Interceptor where that square bar might go.

I agree Chris, I suspect it's a Jaguar part.

Advert stated fits rear, as we all know sills are side members, so they obviously don't know any more about it than we do!

Looks more like a side door beam for crash protection or something! Don't the Jensen-Healey's have those??
