October - Brendan Murtagh's Interceptor III
This is Brendan Murtagh's Interceptor III.
This is one of those cars that people look forward to seeing, as each time you see it the car has improved. Brendan does a lot of the work on the car him self and as you can see from the photos he isn't afraid to use it. I'm sure Brendan is an inspiration to us all.
It's also nice seeing the whole family involved, Brendan's daughter Katie can often been seen at the concours polishing cloth in hand.
my photos, taken at this years concours where Brendan won an award.
The photos below show Brendan and his wife Sherree on the JOC's Scandinavian trip earlier this year. Photos from Colin and Diane Mayes.

Daughter Katie deserves a medal for all the work she puts in too
Where is Katie?
She used to contribute to the Forum but, like all the other girlies, seems to have vanished.
Maybe the Forum is destined to be an all male preserve?

I'M HERE!!
(Doesn't my car look lovely in those pics)
At least some of you remembered me. Martin thanks for that, I feel the same, a medal would be lovely!
And barrie, I'm a very busy person you know! I don't have enough time to inflate the male ego or tell you all where your going wrong!
Haha, I will make more of an effort in future, I promise.
Seriously though I'm proud of my Dad, he does work really hard on my...his car and deserves all the credit!!
It's a beauty!
Thanks Zak!

Thanks for all the kind words about my car and family.
Some of you may have got Shortie back on the forum.
It did take some hard work to get it ready for Ragley after the Scandinavia trip.
But when I was given the Interceptor cup it make you think it is worth it.
I can't post pictures Richard so no engine sorry.
All being well I will see some of you at the NEC
Thanks

Well done Brendan. You deserve this accolade from your fellow members.Brendans car is often the one that's fault free proving that good maintenance makes a Jensen a reliable proposition.Better than that,he has fettled my beast on more than one occasion making it a reliable ride also.
Many JOC members have been rescued by Brendan over the years when their cars have refused to play ball( myself included!)and I'm always glad to have him as my partner in crime running the Yorkshire Area. With Brendans wife Sherree, and steam train fanatic daughter, Katie,he has a formidable team.Top bloke!!
Well done mate.

And I do believe that out of the Interceptors on the Scandinavian trip Brendan had the most economical car, 17mpg.
Brendan and his family are always good company.

Hi all
Zac I did try to take a new picture and with the lighting thay where c7@p so then I had a brian wave open the sun roof and stand on the centre consol quite simple.
Trev as it's going to be another bad winter.
Get your self in the garage and have a go.
Colin I must say it did seem to using less fuel than the others.
That's down to John Sleath setting the new carb up on the rolling road.
