Member of our club, previous owner of the car also. One long time J-H owner said that the JPS livery was "original" (applied by Jensen? Edgar Schwyn?). Correction: this is a different car with a different livery

Cool. Is it for sale? Asking for a friend . I did notice it is on dealer plates!
(Edit: just saw the link. Yes, it is for sale. I wonder if he will take an FF in part exchange? Hope your tyres arrive soon Felix, I might need the old ones sooner than I thought.)

It seems such an obvious colour choice, and looks really good. For anyone not aware of the Lotus-engined J-H connection with JPS, the John Player Special Team Lotus won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1972 and 1973, right at the time of the J-H.

Correction, different car! I just checked our archive and this is a different one (see below)
Now on the dealer's website:
https://www.classic-autos.ch/aaa-jensen ... warz-1974/
CHF 28’900.– / 108'000km according to dealer
We bought our Interceptor from him many years ago.
The one in our club has a different livery, and now I remember that someone told me that they weren't allowed to use the JPS logo.

I don't know when they're being delivered. I just brought the C-V8 to the tire shop to have the flat fixed, so that we can use the car next week- but the owner wasn't around to look up the delivery date. Due to vacation it may take another 3 weeks... The guy at the tire shop just shook his head when he saw my tires Couldn't find a nail or any other damage so it may be the tube which is worn through.

Re: LHD John Player Special J-H in Switzerland
Perhaps the logo thing was due to an obvious conflict with Lotus road cars which were a step behind the JH engine wise. The JH was the new kid with the fantastic new Lotus motor and the modern looks.
It could be a typical leak at the valve. If you have a metal tyre cap with a rubber seal on the inside, try that. If it works then you could swap the valve core.
Last summer I had an "impossible" tyre problem where the brass fitting the tyre valve screws into, was separating from the rubber stem due to the heat! So the air came out past the outside of the brass tube that you screw the vale cap on, past the rubber/brass stem bond, nothing to do with the valve! Worse thing is it was intermittent, it let some air out only in extreme heat when the glue melted while parked, it would then be OK and airtight when cooled off. I only found it when I heard it hissing one day as I walked past.
Might be worth making sure you have some spare inner tubes. Cut that dodgy one up for elastic bands. Don't let the kids go down the river on it!

Re: LHD John Player Special J-H in Switzerland
Are you a mind reader- I was absolutely thinking of doing that last week, but then plans changed! Turns out the wheels don't have tubes, there was a leak between wheel and tire. He now mounted my spare tube and hopefully we're all set to go (Genova )- w/o spare tube, but thanks to Andi w/ a spare wheel (since le Mans).Don't let the kids go down the river on it!
The new tires will be mounted on August 24th, if that is not too late for you. Let me know if I should not take them home with me.

That is not too long at all and I will look forward to a beer that was a very kind offer!
One thing about the spare, you will need wheel nuts to match the wheel type! Your Dunlops look special. You might get away with those nuts on a Mk3 alloy but not a rostyle or steel wheel.

Andi supplied me with an additional set of nuts- you're good! Looking forward to the beer!

Re: LHD John Player Special J-H in Switzerland
Way off topic: Mike Koch wanted me to join him at the Albisgüetli car show a week or so ago, but I told him that I have a flat. And with the spare wheel it wouldn't be a good look. He said you're so vain
