Looks like an excellent car. Wondered why red badge on bonnet than realised would look a bit awful if blue on red paint. Didn't know "J" series covered SP's?? Anyway a nice price and hope they get it. Only100 left? Didn't know that. Nice to see six pack fitted. Some times I wish i had kept my SP six pack (131/4592) 34 years ago but was far too much trouble and now has a 780 Holley which gives as much power......not that I am lead footed...perish the thought. A race mechanic once told me that 6 packs were built for street racing but were not that much better than a well set up large Holley and on the 440 were a bit of a gimmick anyway. However that said I do wish I still had my Six Pack even though it was always needing tuning or around 10mpg was the result. I know one can drive around on the center carb but had some troubling experiences when out riders suddenly cut in. Am aware six packs went out with buggy whips but still.........Kenny38 :(

You can always fit mechanical secondary linkages for the outboard carbs. Keep the original vacuum servos in a glass case at home so they don't perish. With this mod you get full control at your right foot, and provided you roll on the throttle, the fuel consumption should not suffer, and might even improve once you get the hang of things.

You know what is keeping me awake at 11AM? the damn SP badge on the front. It's crooked. That should take a 1K off asking price surely. Is this a reasonable price for a quality SP? Would Putin buy it? Kenny38

They have wisely fitted round spotlights, thus avoiding the almost obligatory photoshoot faux pas of a wonky rectangular lamp.
That badge is going to haunt my dreams tonight - I wish you hadn't pointed it out.

Likewise, any news on this car. Our cars are usually judged price wise for magazine value lists as gleaned from auctions or troubling "expert club members". Hence in my opinion a very false impression on what a good Jensen will set you back. Kenny38
