This will cause some lively debate no doubt. Not quite an SP anymore and some interesting but well executed modifications nevertheless. Let the feeding frenzy of "SP" obsessives begin....

That looks and sounds lovely, apart from the ugly great door mirrors. The fact that the changes were made by an "original" owner makes them more desirable. Predicted price seems cheap for what you get.
"Now that chassis number is particularly interesting ‘cos it’s the one after the one before, which is the one after mine, not many people know that"

Interesting modifications indeed, with some serious coin spent on the car (woodwork looks really nice with the sunken switches).
And for the past few years, my upholsterer has kept saying that the BMW 3 series Convertible seats would look really nice in the Jensen - here's the proof!
Cheers

The seats look perfectly at home, agreed.
The mirrors look even bigger than the those fitted by JIA and are a bit too big IMHO. Interesting that the car has been fitted with ABS - presumably a complete system from a single source?
According to Dickie Calver's chassis data book the car was recorded as being in Australia in 1987..the MOT history suggests that it has done only 1500 miles in the last 6-7 years or so. Estimate looks realistic given the balance between originality, practicality, quality of workmanship etc but the "market" will no doubt decide....

Far,far too pretty now. The SP should always be in black leather interiour including dash. Car now looks like a transport car to brothel. Or owned by a Saudi princeling of dubious sexuality. To me most of the "updates were "gadgets" and really the work of a talented man who can fix "things". Car although nice in presentation is really a travesty in terms of what the SP was created for. Your East End Pub Landlord and known criminal associates would be devastated at a now "poxy" caricature. I shall have to kick a cat. kenny38

"with some extremely smart modifications which include hydraulic lifts for the boot lid, operated from inside with a switch and there is an air compressor in the boot which can be connected up to a fixture which would enable one to blow up the tyres whenever necessary; the spare tyre automatically descends on the press of a button and ascends on the push of a button making it very practical to access when needed."
