Re: FF 286 at H&H auction in April
That is one of the best known FFs in the club, if that goes for less than 80k someone will get one hell of a bargain.
I have followed that car all over Europe, the owner took pity on me when I had to attend a Dutch meeting in my then BMW as my SP and Healey were both off the road, that is the car that made me really want an FF.
The only time the car that car ever failed to proceed (that I know of) was in Germany when there was a problem with the battery, I remember joking with the locals that the problem was the German battery

Shame it didn't go for more.. the love that has been poured into that car as well, should have got more money.
But as said in in another post, depends who's there on the day

A sleeping princess I like to call these. It was a post auction deal it seems. It didn't meet what would at other times have been the very reasonable reserve on the day. These are percieved as difficult times by some. Bargains are piling up as a result. An FF is a good solid £50K of anyone's money. I haven't seen this car for 20 years+. I imagine it might need a service, fluids, brake hoses, oil pump hoses, power steering hoses, water pump, tyres and then good for the next continental tour. That must be £10k to an astute first time Jensen owner with a few other classics. Someone who knows they can put in £10k, less DIY, and have fun, knowing the £50k is good as gold.
