Interesting to look at the detailed photos - as the auction text says, there's been a lot of attention to detail there!
Also curious to see the battery in the boot - as far as I know that's a non-trivial modification - none of the C-V8 Mk's came from the factory like that, did they?

There seems to be a second brake servo on the passenger side. I hope there isn't a corresponding brake pedal on the inside. I've not seen an arrangement like that before, what's the idea? Is this why the battery has been relocated?

Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
Indeed, there does appear to be. My theory is that the steering column is motorised and it can be selected to operate as either LHD or RHD. Or perhaps in extremis the front passenger can help out with the braking?
Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
I believe the DB5 and DB6 use a double servo system both remote from the master cylinder.
Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
Being Rolls Royce engineer he has loked at other cars of the same era, taken some of this engineering and made his CV8 better by protecting the battery and boosting the brakes with two remote servos.
I bet if you look deeper there will be more engineered improvements.
Looks a nice car.

You only have to look at the photos to see that the mods have been beautifully executed - for example the hold-down bracket for the (relocated) battery, which appears to be far better quality than Jensen fitted from the factory. The sketches that come with the car hint at other mods too.
Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
Sold for £67.5k. That seems about right to me, given the combination of "top condition" but "not very original".

Or £69k including VAT for the private enthusiast. Must be an auction record for a CV8 hard top but very well deserved for a top car. The non original features appeared so well executed they probably added to its value.

Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
I wonder what my C-V8 would do…???
Re: CV8 Mk2 at Silverstone Auction 104-2091
The C-V8 sold 35% above what they had listed as the highest price in their guide. What do they do: increase their price guide by 5'000. I don't understand the logic, nor the maths.
