There seem to be 3 windscreen washer jets in that bonnet.

I had 2 in mine (104/2199), but I think originally there was only 1 central one?

Did they ever leave the factory with more than 1 washer jet?

Absolutely the best thing you can do with a wreck like that one. Great idea.

I am with Kenny on this specific "project", you should get money to drag it out. If you start working on it expect at least 150 Grand and a minimum of three years with a professional restorer or 20 years in your own garage.

It definitely deserves a "proper funeral".

If anyone on here has bought it for parts, I'm after the pair of "C" shaped reflectors that sit next to the front indicators (next to the clear lenses that are below the twin headlights). Only on the mk1 and MKII.

I would have to agree with Sandro. I would also say it is feasible and reasonable to restore this. After all there are new chassis available (although many parts of the original are likely reusable), new fiberglass body shells available (I wonder if that old gel coat could be stabilised and the body reused?). Not sure about doors. Door hinges and new front grills were being made. Perhaps things like kingpins, lights and chrome are the more difficult items. It could easily be rebuilt as a competition car, which might give it a few more years life. I would say this is a great project for someone who already has a CV8 that is up and running, but wants something to do some serious restoration work on. A project like this stops you wanting to tinker with a near perfect car that really should be left up and running and used.

The owners club has given concours awards to cars which had been found with trees growing out of them through the roof, so don't let anyone be hasty to do a brocket on any surviving examples of this tiny production run model (250 cars in 22 months). It's a permanent mistake. And costs have outweighed value for over a generation now. So the owners club is in the main a preservation society not an investment society.
