I think it's the first time I've noticed use of the term "As Stated", meaning a price that is not stated?

It does look superb - I see it has what appears to be a pair of fuse boxes on the O/S engine bay, which presumably entailed a complete rewire?

This would be a very nice car for someone. Having seen it in a somewhat denuded state over quite a period of time all the earlier bodges (including the tupperware lunchbox) have been rectified and in many cases some very neat engineering solutions made.

Barrie is still alive (or was a couple of months ago!), I saw his brother in his Bristol at the Ace Cafe in August.

Rostyles? How weird. What this needs is some Wolfrace Slot Mags...

It also has an Interceptor III front cross member, suspension and I think brakes.

Which gives it power steering.

delighted to hear Barrie is good hopefully; i do miss his comments. The car does look magnificent and has certainly outgrown those dealer-fitted rostyles. As for the way it's advertised by the dealer, the snobbish "POA" evidently being superseded by the arrogant "As Stated", it's not much of a sales tool seemingly; maybe they could try PIG ("Price In Glovebox")

I have Barrie´s C-V8 on my website too, to gain some interest in Germany.

Price as stated, not PIG (perfect description, Hugh :D )

Lots of pictures there, description in German, but easy to understand.

https://jensjansen.com/

It looks like that C-V8s are hard to sell at the moment.

And yes, I know that one should not advertise their own page here in the forum, but I thought it is ok in this specific case to add some more information about said C-V8.

Please accept my apologies.

Jens
You need never apologise about anything!
Your website has some great photography, of very interesting cars.
If you don't mind though, maybe you could have a separate website for your specialist interest cars?
I have checked the domain name and the good news is that it is available here:

https://www.domain.com/registration/?fl ... omainDFE/1

(easier spelling for your marketing)

Unfortunately JensJensen.com has gone, which I presume is the site for the "Specialist" car.

Will think about it.

But as you saw it‘s not just Jensens.

Funny thing: at school one of my teachers was from Hungary and she always mixed up the letters of my name calling me „Jans“ all the time. I felt it as very emberassing. But at that time I had no idea of proper marketing.

Jan‘s Jensens - might work

P.S.: Looks like we‘re back in the old tradition of entering serious threads and turn them into unwanted directions.

That's definitely an interesting car, but not for the purist.
It's always interesting to guess the value of something like that, but probably somewhat less than the dealer is asking seeing as they're still advertising it now.
the dealer quotes it at 6.8 ltr, DVLA says 6.3. It appears to have later Interceptor rocker covers and air cleaner, maybe heads as well to get the fittings for the power steering pump, so maybe a complete interceptor engine. But where does 6.8 Ltr come from?
It does look lovely though.
