Re: FF 127/293 at Bonhams auction
Beautiful Car..I remember spending time talking to the owner(the son of the Dad that bought it back in 71) at the Gaydon meet probably 5years ago now knowing how quickly these years go, I amazed then how lovely it was..we're only custodians of these lovely machines!!

It was listed for their Goodwood auction. The link now points to their Beaulieu auction which is a week or so before.

Re: FF 127/293 at Bonhams auction
Unusual for the same auction house to have the 2 sales so close together..timing wise and geographically. They have taken down many preview lot listings for the Goodwood sale including the FF and have been very slowly adding them back. It can't do much for the pre-sale publicity. Hopefully it will be back soon.......

Re: FF 127/293 at Bonhams auction
Perhaps they feel the Beaulieu Auction is better suited to the potential FF (& other cars) demographic than Goodwood?

So nice to see a car that presents so well in the engine bay and underneath.
It will be interesting to see where the market is with these now.

Great colour (but then again I’m biased )
I wonder what the two grommeted holes in the centre of the rear valance beneath the bumper are? For tow ropes?

More likely it previously had a tow bar.

Good Shout Mart..yes I make you right there, I am an Interceptor towbar and that is exactly where they bolt through the valance, although those grommets do look vastly over-sized

That would explain a lot about your posts.
