Just looking at pics ask the basic question. $25-30K?? Surely this is either under quoted or something is wrong. Has to be worth more. I have asked question previously...
Have Jensen's gone on the slide price wise? Why no comment from usual suspects? Kenny38 8)

I think some auctioneers are either a) inexperienced with valuing Interceptors for auction b) conservative with estimates to attract punters and hope they bid it up or c) just get it wrong.
I watched an auction the other week with one of the very last Range Rover P38s, one of just 350 run out examples and one of just seven with that particular spec built on the penultimate day of production, in other words a collectors example and in superb condition. Auctioneers estimate was £7k - £8k. It sold for £12k. Sometimes they simply don't know and sometimes on the day bidding goes up and up.
Best to watch the auction and see what it reaches.

Certainly looks like a nice car and should be worth over the range quoted. I like the colour. I think one of Chris’ assertions is correct that they put a low range to suck people in to bid.

No-one knows untill the day do they..I was interested in a Mk1 Manual Interceptor a couple of years ago now, the man selling it said I could have it for the reserve cost of £45K, that was also the estimate at the Auction house, it made £88K on the day + premiums  .. 2 people there who wanted it..So they can only guess, but of course they estimate them low to get all the people interestedImage
The same thing with Ebay, I put a new inlet manifold on there a few months ago with a starting bid of £100, nothing for the 1st week what-so ever, I took it off and relisted it a few weeks later and it made £275, so you only two genuine people who want the item and your'll soon be laughing.."Loot Everyday Mate" ..That's actually what a local shop owner said to me years ago,..the "Loot"(newspaper) used to be out 3 days a week, then it was going to be out everyday and this what the man said to me as I walked in!, He just blerted out "Soon be laughin mate..Loot Ewery-Day"

Looks like someone bagged a very nice car for a sensible price.

The JOC valuation was pretty much spot on, well done people. You would want to auction buy a car, get it serviced, and come in just below on the valuation with a bit of insurance cash, vs buying from a dealer of repute like Medway or Folletts which would come in with a warranty of some sort.
