Jensen Healey For Sale - Nuts & Bolts Rebuilt

Post by RedHealeyMk1 »

With considerable sadness I've decided that it's time for me to sell my Jensen Healey. I've owned this car for nearly 40 years but these days I just don't use her enough to justify keeping her. In my ownership she's had a complete rebuild / refurbishment. In short she's a totally rust free car with everything working and very reliable.

The bodywork& paint was done by Bill Rawles, a well known Austin Healey specialist. The engine was upgraded and rebuilt by Martin Shirley. As this was an early car I've upgraded many parts to those used on later models. It has the Getrag 5 speed box & diff and a Jensen GT dash. The list of work carried out is long and I can supply more information to anyone interested.

I spent way too much restoring her but I know that I'll never get that back. She has an agreed insurance valuation of £14k. The club JH registrar has seen and ridden in her and thinks a fair selling valuation would be £10.5k. However, I am keen for her to go to a club member so for a short period I am willing to take £9.5k.

You can see some pictures of her here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tS6cRiD1pmHzZRZaA

Edit: Please PM me rather than leave a reply here as I may miss it (sorry Clive).

Hi Mike,

Is your JH still for sale as I have been contacted by someone asking but as a former member of the club they have no access to you. If you would like to PM me your contact details I will pass it onto him.

Regards

The car has now sold.

There was considerable interest but I'm pleased to see her go to a good new home.

Thanks to all of those who got in contact.
