After 33 years of ownership, we have decided to sell our FF Mk II.
Her are a few details about our car, a Mk II Jensen FF 127/306 which we have had since 4th July 1988 and until 1995 she was our daily drive.
We are a petrol head family with a number of interesting cars and have the luxury of our own workshop which allows us to stay on top of keeping her pristine and in full working order.
Short known history:
Built for D.A.C. Air Services in 1971 (I think for their MD)
In 1985 Cropredy Bridge sold her to a Mr Spicer in Gloucestershire
We bought her in 1988 from Chelsea Cars in Wandsworth
As number 306 out of 320 cars, she was built just as the Mk III cars started and I am told that some of the car is Mk III, like electronic ignition and seat sizes (but gladly not the MK III engine).
Originally silver on Rostyle wheels, now Anthracite green with alloy wheels (painted to match). We still have the Rostyle wheels, but they would need a refurbish.
The car is very original and over the last few years has only been used occasionally for Goodwood Festival, Revival and other events. We can get in her and take her out at any time without problem, and she is a very usable car. Very, very comfortable for 100 / 200 mile road trip. Best fast tourer we have, as she can both keep up with modern traffic and sit in traffic jams without issue. ie queuing to get into Goodwood.
She is no longer concours (but has won many trophies) however she is an extremely nice and original example both inside and out.
She has covered a little over 100k miles of which about 40k has been with us, and we have copies of the original build sheets from Jensen, along with all related invoices etc.
In 1995 we decided to get the chassis rails replaced and the inevitable rust removed along with a respray. The work was undertaken by Prestige who looked after Lord Brockets cars in their (his) superb workshop. The engine was also rebuilt by SD Racing (a friend who builds race engines) not that it needed it but we were going through everything. At the same time the gearbox was serviced and a new Hiflow chain fitted to the transfer box. She has a stainless exhaust and we have rebuilt the brakes, carbs etc as required along with full rebush and serviced springs / suspension. We have also replaced the master cylinder a few years ago.
Until recently we had never considered selling the car, but the reality is that we get little time to enjoy her and feel now is the time for her to go to a new enthusiast so that she can be used and cherished.
If she would be of interest to anyone, we are asking £153,000 and are based in East Sussex

Hi
This looks a lovely car from a long term and cherished ownership
I hope that it finds an equally appreciative new owner
Now that i have some further information on its early history i will check to see if i have any early adverts or articles

Re: FF mk II for sale 127/306
Hi
I have checked my records and have not found anything yet on Cropredy Bridge advertising the car for sale or a Mr Spicer offering the car for sale
I have a record of Chelsea Cars offering a Jensen for sale in December 1987 in the Thoroughbred & Classic car Magazine
No details on the model of Interceptor other than the car was in very good condition with 59,000 miles
Mileage appears to tie in with your use and current mileage?
For SAle for £6,995
Will keep looking
Kind regards
Jim Smith
