1975 Int. MKIII Major Project in Hemmings
Restoring a MKII, 125/5052
Re: 1975 Int. MKIII Major Project in Hemmings
What are those protuberances (excrescences?) beside the tailpipes?
Igniters for shooting out jets of flame?
This would be a car you should just buy cheap and drive it. Fix it up so that will run reliably and have fun with it.
Rocky
PS, and of course shoot jets of fire out of the tailpipes!

They appear to be the bump stops from the rear axle! The ones on the front have lost the rubbers, too much use? Maybe the owner took it to Paris?
If I had seen this earlier I could have solved my spare wheel issue - just cut off the rear valance and put a couple of screws in it -simples!

Sold within 24 hours of posting on Hemmings.
A video of the car being driven on the road, was included as well on dealer web-site.
Brand new bumpers came with the car and other parts as well
A cheap car, the dealer got it running and driving, then sold it on.
