Wow. Now that's a rare car in what looks to be remarkably good condition.

Good luck with the sale.

Hi AdrianImage..I think they were the Vignale cars that started off as "Motorized" Chassis , then sent to Vignale and sold by their agents ImageSincarImage they were all LHD I believe..I think that is what a ImageSincarImage is, but, I stand to be correctedImage

SINCAR was the distributor owned by Carlo Dusio. Carlo Dusio was also the financial backer of Vignale so he had a financial interest in both the building of the car and then selling it!

This is a Vignale car that is complete and a runner but does need some work. The owner regrets putting it up for sale after the work that he has done on it but is looking to invest in a new business venture.
Car can be viewed in the Lyon area.

If the car was built in England, it is not a "Sincar build".
The motorised chassis for all Intereceptors were, I believe made in England.

The chassis number of your car will indicate if yours was a "Sincar" car although my understanding is that all Sincar cars were for the European market. I could be wrong though.

So Im still at a loss..Does Sincar motoriized chassis mean..The Chassis and motor where built in England and then sent to Sincar to to finished ?. My car was the 1967 Brussells Motor show car which was then sold in France but before that was sent back to the UK for 1968 upgrades

It is a technical difference.
Jensen constructed all the chassis and supplied the engines and transmissions.

The initial batch of Interceptor chassis were sent to Italy to be made up into complete cars for return to England as a complete car to be sold by Jensen either directly or via one of their own outlets in the UK. These were RHD cars for the UK market. Jensen had no sales outlets in Europe at the time.

With an eye no doubt to the future Jensen also had a few (I think 3 or 4) LHD Interceptors made by Vignale and sent back to the UK factory as complete cars for testing.

Another group of chassis were sent to Italy to be made up into complete cars to be sold as Jensens but the finished car never came back to Jensen in the UK, instead it went directly from Vignale to SINCAR for sale to the public only in Europe, the EEC as it was then, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. These were LHD. The specification on these cars differed slightly. This was all early in 1967.

Mid 1967 production was transferred back to the UK and after that Jensen in the UK built complete cars as either RHD or LHD. I believe yours came from this era so is a UK built LHD car.

Hope that explains it better.
