pus 212p at auction again
Nice car returns to the auction again. The drop in estimated price range is a sign of the times but let's hope it attracts a buyer.

I have the actual seat HRH sat on. Will swap for a Hornby train set and a nice tie.Kenny38

Near 27K. Seems a nice car and cheap. Should we remember to slash our wrists verticaly and not horizontally? Would anyone buy the very best as an investment for your old age? My little mate in his Bali temple will say i am obsessed with price. My sister and i had only one pair of shoes between us to go to school during the WW2. My mum tied our left and right legs together and put a shoe on the other feet. After a bit of practice it worked so that's why I am looking for inflated values. So would you if you were locked for days in a wood shed......there was no wood shed but it kept my father happy. Please transfer to Idiots Only Kenny38

Agree with Peter. Looks an attractive car. Sold for £38k, plus VAT plus 10% commission, perhaps a couple of hundred for transport….then whatever outstanding work it might need.
Be interesting to see whether bought into the trade or privately.
Love the interior. If the sills arches etc are good, someone will be pleased.

Re: pus 212p at auction again
Hi, I bought PUS 212P at historics auction in November. Have had many(30 plus) classic cars but this is my first Jensen. Drove it from Northampton to glasgow without mishap. Slight power steering leak. 15.1 to the gallon at steady 70mph. Needs minor improvements, rear bumper, door handles slightly pitted, etc. looking forward to tackling over the winter. Still daft at my age!
Re: pus 212p at auction again
Congratulations! Look forward to hearing how you get on. If it is the actual rack that is leaking and not a hose, you need to be careful who you sent it to if you don't DIY. Most reconditioned racks seem to fail. There seems to be only one shop that reliably rebuilds them.

You may be interested in this...an article in the JOC magazine number 219 from September /October 2011. It even mentions the chrome and the last time the steering rack was refurbished.
Re: pus 212p at auction again
Hi Grant, I guess you will have heard of them.
https://steering-racks.co.uk/ Kiley Clinton in Birmingham. They sell parts too. I have not used this shop personally so was reluctant to name them, but if the steering bar is worn for example, the simple reliable solution is a new bar, and these people make them for the Interceptor. They have their own range of steering racks they make too. The problem with exchange racks is that you might give in a rack with a decent steering bar, just say hard seals, and get one back something that will soon leak and is not up to daily driving.

Re: pus 212p at auction again
Hi all , any know how much gas to put in air con system on 1975 interceptor 111? Thanks
Re: pus 212p at auction again
They take about 850g but if it is an old system then you will need to change the receiver/drier , replace the expansion valve with one that is compatible with 134a gas, change the flexible pipework to R134a compatible ones and check the pressures/valves etc for cutting in & out correctly or it could explode and set your beautiful black Interceptor on fire!..Get someone who knows what they're doing..if they don't have the correct pressure/Vac gauges connected to the system when they work on it then that is a good clue that they don't know what they're doing...the best person to do anything on your A/C system is Pat@Fenair >> https://www.fenair.co.uk/ Alexander but I don't where you are based?Rvalexander wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 1:52 pm Hi all , any know how much gas to put in air con system on 1975 interceptor 111? Grant beat me to it...again! Speak to Pat Foster @ Fenair about the options and why some of your existing air con components may be due for the bin.
I would recommend one of his systems - it can be DIY fitted but obviously needs to be tested and charged professionally. I've used a local mobile service with great success in the past. An all black car will certainly need some cabin cooling in the summer!!!!
