Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
The FF is 263. Cat C write off in UK in June 2003. Viewing in lockdown is almost impossible at the moment. Transportation and import back into the UK might also be a challenge. It is not deterring some brave bidders however.

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Hi
The Registration No for 127/263 KEK 751 J was last recorded on a Nissan in March 2020
The Registration No for 128/4722 was originally GMB 676 K but pre body restoration photos show it with Registration No MCU 147 K
I am assuming this was a replacement Registration No?
Kind regards

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
I don't think your comment about the FF reg KEK 751J is correct according to DVLA and HPI.
Also as I understand it, the vendor has two Interceptors for sale... a shell and the parts car, both with V5s...which one relates 128-4722 is unclear.

John
You are quite correct on the DVLA status sor 127/263 KEK 751 J
I can only assume that i managed to type in an error on my initial search in 03.2020
A good early photo of the car
Kind regards

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Well the FF finished just short of £50K and over £16K for the interceptor, then with shipping and some sort of import tax to add on now we are not in the EU.
Im not sure what the import tax is on a classic car from EU, does anybody know.

If they haven’t been registered in Hungary and are still registered in the UK are they exempt ?

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Could be expensive, looks like 10% duty and 20% VAT.

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Very complex topic. As the cars are still registered in UK, and may just have "been on holiday" for 15 years, you may get away without paying import tax or VAT if it came back to the UK. It might depend upon how the trader treated the VAT when he imported it either under the margin scheme or otherwise. He has obviously added value to the £5k wreck that he originally imported so officialdom will no doubt want a slice of that. If VAT registered I guess you can claim it back but pay VAT on any subsequent profit? I doubt you will get much beyond Dover without paying upfront....assuming Customs believe that all parts are from just one car. Best of luck with anyone brave enough to have a go....
Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Dealing with the EU every day as a business, the amount of paperwork we are now involved in is crazy. It has taken us several months to be on top of everything, starting back in November last year.
When I checked in mid-January, I was told by HMRC there would still be the standard fixed 5% VAT charge on cars coming from Europe to the UK. This would be the same situation as for Classics coming into the country from outside of Europe.
HMRC also try and charge you a percentage of the cost of the transport at 5% VAT as well and if they can insurance as well
I suspect but not proven, they will simply levy a straight fee on the sale price plus transport, but then again the goal posts may have shifted again.
Best of luck to anyone from the UK if they purchased these cars, more so if there are lots of parts as well..

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Historic cars can be imported under Tariff 9705. Zero import duty and 5% VAT. Apply for a Binding Tariff Information Agreement from HMRC before the car departs the foreign port. The agreement is presented at the port of entry to the UK and the 5% VAT is levied on the price of the car plus the shipping costs and any insurance. Pay the fee and you can remove the car from the port. Without the Binding Tariff Information HM Customs can levy full import duties and VAT if they choose. You cannot retrospectively apply for a chapter 9705 BTI if the car is already landed in the UK.
This procedure applied for the UK as part of the EU when importing a car from outside the EU as an import to the EU. Now the UK is not in the EU the same procedure applies for importing the car to the UK from wherever the car is imported.
A different procedure applies for a car temporarily being imported to the UK i.e. if being consigned to an auction or being sent to a restorer in the UK for restoration.

I felt the FF 111 that went recently for £100k was all the money but it now looks cheap!
