seeking SV8

Post by Juriaan »

New to the forum. So forgive my inexperience, as I am trying to get the hang of this.
I have been looking for an SV8 for a while, and have come up short in my search. Anyone out there that could give me a hand identifying 1 for sale ? Not against buying one that needs restoration. If you know of anything, please reach out to me on this forum or on mob +41 79 8517599.
Thanks. Juriaan

I thought that car had been sold to someone in Dorset over 2 years ago by Sovereign .....unless of course it has gone back to the same dealership?

On their site (with Covid updates, so current) it says "DEPOSIT TAKEN" - worth contacting them. Besides, dealers often resell the same car after an owner wants a change and takes it back to the garage they originally bought it from.
"Now that chassis number is particularly interesting ‘cos it’s the one after the one before, which is the one after mine, not many people know that"

Juriaan,

there is one sitting since 2011 in the Isle of Wight in need of work to bring it back to pristine condition. Lots of posts on Facebook about this car. I am interested in this car myself, but not sure yet....

To answer your question about the sv8 for sale at sovereign cars. Yes I bought it April 2019 Pete Hanger Bridport Dorset DT6 6HF Tel 07525778692 Sovereign cars seem to still like it on there books. Perhaps because it is a very unusual car !

Hi Pete,

I knew you had it as you brought it to the Bristol Classic Car Show @ Shepton mallet not long after you bought it.

So have you sold it back too them or are they still showing it for sale on their site? Bad practice if the latter unless of course they agreed it with you :D
