Hi people,
Today I have had two different Jensen people visit me for various reasons, my daughter and I were prepairing the FF to take to the Historics auction at Brooklands, both people had seen the maroon FF that went to auction about 4 months ago and informed me that car is nothing like as good a car as mine, and to be honest I had set my price on seeing what that car brought at auction as it looked really nice in the pictures, anyway any person with an interest should note I may well be under valuing my car, I think I am just to honest with my descriptions and do not bull magnolia them up maybe I am stupid and should have told the auction house to advertise it as the best on offer I don't know,

Good luck with the auction today Dunc.

Will be watching on the live auction view.

I really wish I had listened to my Mum and tried harder a school. If I had this car wouldn’t even have got to auction, I would have been shaking Duncan’s hand and handing over the cash literally hours after he first advertised it.

It’s a great looking car Dunc.

Let’s hope after all the turmoil with politics/brexit etc than when

springtime comes things look up.

It wont recover John, it will just get worse and we wont ever see a hike in prices ever again, as old Auzzie Kenny says the Jensen will get relegated to sitting under an old blue tarp until they rot and blow away, the tarp and the Jensen,,    :( :( going to stick to drag racing its cheaper

The car will be worth plenty but maybe in a year or two, its just another blip in the market and as Jensens seem to have risen quite sharply over the last few years they were in the firing line when the market got worried.

Best thing would be to use it and have fun in it for a while then if you wanted to sell it you will still get a good price. Its not easy to make money overnight but Jensen ownership does pay back if you hang onto a car for a few years and in the meantime you get to drive a cool car whilst socialising with a great set of people.

Well done DuncImage, you went with where you heart told you and that is always the best thing to doImage, Lara always says "Greedyness Gets you nowhere".. and then we have Hindsight, what a nuisance thing that ever isImage, you can never look back, just do what you feel your heart tells you at time and move forward.. that's it.. Good on you DuncyManImage

I was there today Duncan, it is a very straight, nice looking car with a beautiful under bonnet presentation!
I thought the mango colour is certainly striking but I couldn't help but thinking the same effort in to repainting it the original Crystal Blue may have worked better for you?? It's a funny thing with the FF's, they command so much respect out there on the street but it's not necessarily reflected in sale rooms.
As far as restoration goes, it's not a phenomenon just with Jensen, some of the files of receipts I see for restored cars of all sorts is just eye watering and I have one car myself currently being done ( not a Jensen) down to a bare shell and back up again which I'm questioning my sanity over, so I guess it's only for the keepers these days and a bit like horse racing, only bet what you can afford to lose...
Anyway, hopefully the new owner gets to enjoy it and he spreads the word! :D
