I think that ebay advert is a scam.
The car is in a Motor Museum in Newcastle and that's a shocking advert from a museum.

From the Newburn Motor Museum site:

Invicta
Originally owned by the Earl of Strathmore.
The car was discovered in derelict condition, this Jensen bodied drophead Coupe built in 1948 has been restored at the museum by Tony Porrelli, who is the current owner. This is one of only two cars with this body shape (the other being in Paris)

Probably a scam, I sent a message to the "seller" a week ago asking for photos showing chassis condition and heard nothing since .
He is still looking for Invicta chassis photos on the net to clone I guess.

It failed to reach its reserve at £12,850 - I can't imagine a scam turning this amount down!

The contact number, when searched via google, appears to belong to a Marc Porrelli. The Museum say it is owned by a Tony Porrelli. It seems to be genuine, although a dreadful advert. Hopefully it will be relisted with a price closer to the true reserve.
"Now that chassis number is particularly interesting ‘cos it’s the one after the one before, which is the one after mine, not many people know that"

Those Invictas were very advanced for their day - too advanced. Meadows engine, magnetic gearbox .. all sorts of innovations, many of which have been removed from most survivors. This looks really nice. If it runs that sounds like good value.
