Re: Early Interceptor
Looks like it has been towed or strapped down by the steering rod!

Re: Early Interceptor
Says it is rust free - wonder if that includes the chassis?

Re: Early Interceptor
Yes Norway ( but close to Oslo ).
No idea about the seller.
Unless all the bits and pieces are there it will be very very difficult to restore.

Re: Early Interceptor
The owner, Viktor Weber Petersen (of Auto Sande-Viktor Petersen, the seller), posted in one of the Jensen Facebook pages recently to say he had just bought the car, I replied with a photo of mine and a couple of other Early Interceptor owners did so as well, that post and the replies are no longer on Facebook (or I can't find them). Viktor Petersen did not say he was a classic car dealer.
Earlier this year the JOC received an enquiry from a friend of the previous owner (before Viktor Petersen) asking for advice on restoring this car, the friend said the car was owned by the grandson of a previous owner. With the enquiry were some details of an application to join the JOC in 1996 by someone called Chris (no second name) and he was allocated the JOC number 293. 293 is obviously a number from the 1970s and an early membership number is usually only re-issued if a close relative of the original member applies to join. That suggests the car was in the same family ownership from at least the mid '70s until this year. The owner in 1996 was in Norway so the car has been there for a long time. The JOC did give the friend some advice on restoration costs and presumably the owner thought the cost was too much and so sold the car and Viktor Petersen bought it.

Re: Early Interceptor
Viktor Weber Petersen is back on Facebook, in the group called Show and Share our Jensens, with 30 photos of the car including shots of the underneath, all taken with the car on the ground so no shots of the floor pans or chassis or chassis tubes, but what you can see looks good.

Re: Early Interceptor
This car is now advertised on Car and Classic with a little more information. It is said to have been in one family ownership, in Noway, from new and last on the road in 1971.
