C-V8 Mk111 Manual

Post by John Staddon »

I have been asked to place the following advert

"For Sale - Very Rare Jensen CV8 MK 111
One of only 3 manual versions ever built. A restoration project. Engine (running) and mechanicals in good condition. Chassis requires extensive reconstruction. Paintwork mostly removed. Doors complete. Brightwork could be reused.
Previous ownership well documented, including at one point the band A-ha.
Open to offers.
Email address is
peckerlaws@btinternet.com"

To which I will add:

This is 113/2366, one of three manual Mk111 C-V8s (including Chris Walton's EXP chassis numbered car, 10 manual C-V8s made in total). The car was first registered to JML and used by Richard Graves, it was then sold to Rex Willis, Cardiff, Wales and British Lions rugby international. The present owner, Mr McCleod, bought the car in 1990 from Terry Slater, the man who discovered and then managed A-Ha. The photos are the best Mr McCleod can get that show the overall car but there are many more detail shots, ask Mr McCleod for them if you are interested (not me).

Mr McCleod prefers to be open to offers though I have told him what i think the car is worth, given it's rarity.

The car is in Eastbourne.

Regards

Didn't take long.

No - not to me, the asked price was not in line with the condition ( and my MK3 is already a manual ;-) ).

Mr Macleod confirms the sale of the car has been agreed. The price achieved is confidential, but the winning bid, and there was more than one, was actually slightly more than the value I put on the car; the car obviously sold on rarity and not condition!
