Re: Mk1 Manual Int at Brightwells
Does look nice and with a JOC badge somebody must know more about its condition. Will obviously (?) sell for a lot more than the estimate.

not much last seen for sale 2013 - never recorded the sale price or new owner.

The lower estimate is invariably the reserve with the Auction House
Could be a bargain for someone.

Sold for £33,600 plus premium. There was some seriously good stuff going under the hammer there for small money. DB4 for £220K, smart Bentley Turbo daily driver £4K, something for every pocket.

I'd love to know who bought this car and be allowed to spend about 2-4 hours chewing his ear's off!

How do you know it is a bloke Grant??? Whoever it is, the money saved on buying those two compared to last year would pay for a decent double garage in most parts of the country!Grant wrote:I'd love to know who bought this car and be allowed to spend about 2-4 hours chewing his ear's off!

Not sure if you remember the Silver/Grey manual one last year?.. I saw it for sale about 8 years ago, needed restoring of a fashion but was a good car, it sold for £15K and ended up at Cropredy and got done, I managed to trace the owner just before it went to auction and he invited me to his place around potters bar area. He offered to me for £40K, but.. it wasn't a nice Job that Cropredy had done and really it needed doing again, it wasn't right anymore so I walked away.. as said it then made Circa £88k as the original 2nd owner was trying to get it back. .. This white one that sold yesterday .. well from the pics in my opinion "Just looked good" but I think it was deeper and a can of worms springs to mind, but I never saw it in the flesh so I could be wrong.. cheap though for such a rare car I thought John
I do know a chap who has the sage green one that appeared about 5 years ago on here for sale.. now that is a lovely car.. I was there a few months ago sitting in it pushing the clutch.. but it was a bit boxed in so we didn't go out in it .. Quite obsessed with these I am John.. Colin restored one and finished it about 4 years ago.. but I lost trace of that one and Ole Colin pulled the "I cant remember who the owner was" card
