Grant,

I searched this Forum using the registration number and discovered that it’s 123/3992 and was up for Auction at Morris Leslie Auctions in November 2017.
Quick check on DVLA site for MOT history shows an error on that plate number?

I expect that no. plate has been put on retention and it's been allocated a correct 1970 reg no?

Yes I’d agree with that, personally can’t see the appeal of TGG 1G, but I assume it means something to someone somewhere!

If your initials are TG, you are a rock star, and are driving to your latest Gig. Sounds perfect on the Jensen!

Only famous TG I can think of right now is Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame, but I’m sure there are others!

Top Cat :)
Umm... that's TC, surely?

Meanwhile, the Top Gear team are poised to buy.

That 2016 auction price may still be relevant unless repairs were done recently. Suspect a lot more to be done. This may derail punter trying for a deal. 30K anyone? Wot a lot of heartless buggers we are. Kenny38 8)

My friends done the deal now and got the car, he done a few swappsy's etc, he is the chap I got my latest Mk2 from.. he is an avid car collector and has many of all sorts.. Hopefully when I find a minute I'll go and see him and have a look at the car.. it'l be good to see him again.. Lovely Chap he is, a very successful engineer and now has a huge empire of all.
