Re: Very nice Interceptor in Scotland....
It might sound petty but £60k and it does not have the correct wiper blades.

First thing I did to my car was change the black plastic wiper blade holders to stainless steel ones!Steve Payne wrote:It might sound petty but £60k and it does not have the correct wiper blades.

I didn't know that cars still had wiper blades. No one has them anymore on Australian Central North Coast. Lovely car. Kenny38

What a beautiful looking Car, really beautiful
If it was mine I would de-smog the engine and up the compression(if it hasn't been done already), then it would be just perfect, I really like it, I don't think I have ever met this Mitch chap.. but that car is a credit to him, If it was mine I don't think I could bring myself to sell it, .. like this they are very hard to find... Good on you Mitch

Grant, I think Mitch has owned the car for well over 30 years. There comes a time for anyone to sell I guess.
It's a lovely car and Mitch and his wife Margarett a lovely couple.

Had the last cars lost a lot of power?
My car had a replacement 383 engine from the USA fitted in the early 2000s and the build sheet says it has a 10:1 compression ratio, which I assume is good?

Re: Very nice Interceptor in Scotland....
They did but in my view it's all rather irrelevant and immaterial these days. The later ones were down to "only" about 280bhp. Still capable of around 130mph and a very decent acceleration that will keep up with most modern traffic. What more do you want?

Truly, this is a stunning car and is ready to drive anywhere. I know it very well indeed. Mitch is only selling because at his age he no longer drives, but still plays golf!
Re: Very nice Interceptor in Scotland....
Hello everyone, I am the proud new owner of this car. Very much looking forward to driving it down from Scotland to my home in Hampshire.
