Seems a low estimate. To attract interest? Or is there something wrong?

Usually, or as I have found, the estimate is based on the reserve price. Clearly this lovely looking lady has a very low reserve... I'm sure on the day she'll realise her true worth. Also it looks very crafty when they publish the final figures, reserve £12-£14k, sold for £35k ect ect.

The car now has a description on the auction site....

Following a long period of storage, this rare MK I was purchased by the vendor around four years ago. He has spent almost £6,000 since and describes it as running and driving but requiring finishing‑off. Four registered owners. It comes with V5, MoT dated from 2016 when last issued, original bill of sale, early owner's correspondence with Jensen including warranty claims and bills totalling £5,799 between 2016 and 2019. Current mileage recorded at 02,551.

bought by the present owner in 2015 for £16250,now back on the block, after £6K investment. If it makes, say 25,then after sales commission ,it does seem a rather pointless exercise ,except to the auction house who have picked up around three thousand pounds for five minutes work. Nice one.

Considerable micro-blistering to paintwork and underside, arches etc. heavily “undersealed” so open to interpretation. Interior very good though and love the dash.

Somebody who was there posted on Twitter that the car wouldn't run (or even turn over) and there was some argy-bargy and a suggestion that someone had fiddled with it (to reduce the price?)
