I noticed the MK111 in primer has a tap fitted to the heater pipe probably hoping to stop it getting hot inside the car :P
It will be interesting to see the results.

That tap idea really works well if the ranco valve is past it's best. Nothing better than an Interceptor's heating on full blast on a cold winter's morning! Looks like it will scratch the rocker covers placed there though. Some nice looking Jensens there. Would be good to see them on the forum being restored or tuned up!

Probably next week sometime. They're way out in Norfolk and the Internet has only just reached there so it takes a while before they can update their web pages.

Here's the results from the website.

I'm guessing the car in primer didn't sell.

I have posted previously about various cars crawling out from under tarps and these 4 cars are a good example. All would seem to be a "renovator's dream" and will no doubt be given a small tart up and reappear as "good examples" and "rapidly appreciating classic". Unless you are experienced in the black arts of bodging be afraid.....very.
All these cars unless sold to complete mugs in the near future will find their way back under a tarp at the front of some corner house on a sink pit estate as the enthusiastic bidders find what they have bought. They will all be looking for another bigger mug. The prices paid tell the story. Anything advertised under 35K is a silly optomistic, perhaps erotic thought best kept until bed time. Grant, have you any more of those nice pills? Kenny38 8)

Don't knock us Council Estate Boys Kenny 8). Some of us have proper car covers by Covercraft. Not many, granted. One of my thoughts is that it could be New Money buying these, to use as Tesla tow trucks. If a Tesla runs out of juice, hook it up with a tow rope, and give it a good yank. The regenerative automated braking in the Tesla comes on to avoid a collision, and automatically charges it up. Some of the Jensen projects also end up as executive tax fiddles. Car is bought for next to nothing, is always "at the garage", 20K a year bills over 3 years, the book value of the car is written down over those 3 years, and the executive gets to buy it all nice and shiney for the price on the books.

Then there is the honest, hard working bloke, not many of those left, who buys it, gets it home, and soon gets educated on everything possible that can go wrong on a Jensen. Education costs money, and they have got off light really, they could easily have paid twice that for basically the same education!

Hi John. Re tax write offs. Back in the distant, very distant past I bought my SP and listened to an "advisor". He suggested exactly the same thing. I was using it as a spare "company" car and racked up large bills. Trouble is tax boys here and am sure there run your return through the old computor and an item like rat shite Jensen being used as a write off will incur a flag as will be different to your last tax bill. Invesigation likely which is really unpleasant. If you continue to protest the eventual fine they will take you to court and a red flag goes on your account for ever. Believe me I know. Was investigated by Chinese tax auditors who really get a hard on with dealing with classic car owners using car for business when not being fixed.
Be afraid.....very. kenny38
