online belgium,Moyersoen. Int 111

Post by Michael Richardson »

This is new to me,and may be linked to a Belgian Interceptor noted below. However, this online bid for the 75 Int111 runs out on Thursday 21 March at 1900 hrs.currently the bid is at 17850 euros, and the step is 300. IF this is the same car offered at 49000,then do I assume that after Thursday, the car is withdrawn, and not sold ? It begs the question...what is the point in flagging it up in the first place. Your comments on online b idding would be appreciated.

Here is the link to the auction:

Interestingly this car has a similar chassis plate to my LHD Mk1 (where it is stamped as a Interceptor II  ):

Little known auction house?
Also, they may not be sold when the hammer falls: Temporary Adjudication.
I hate these kind of auctions, Catawiki also does this. Lots of the cars are not sold.
Why not start the auction at the reserve price? Clear for everyone.

Is it that if a car sells at a final figure of,say 30K,It seems that the auction site will charge 5250,and add on 21% VAT,resulting in a gross sale of 36500. Perhaps this puts a few possible bidders on the back foot ?

Re my earlier comment....the auction car is not the same one as privately offered at 49500 E by a Belgian owner. I note walnut dash/steering wheel/interior trim colour differences.

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I confirmthat this is not the car I offered at 49.500. Our car is in superb condition, inside out and mechanically.
Welcome any questions. Thank you.

And here it is again at the Moyersoen auction. Moyersoen is one of the auction sites where you never know if a car has been sold or not. If not the car can return a year later as is the case now. Start price €14000, no bidders yet, end time later today.

Highest bid was €25000. "provisional allocation" - so not sure if it sold or not. Seller has to decide if the highest bid is enough.
