I am posting this on behalf of a Mr Dennis Smith who is looking for a new custodian for his Interceptor MK1, which he has owned for the last 12 years.

According to Dennis, the car has only had 4 previous owners - the last owning it for 18 years during which time it was renovated over a period of 8 years. Dennis has detailed pictures of the work carried out and parts purchased. Current MOT is to December 2019, with no advisories. Mileage is 61945.

I'm advised the bodywork is 95% good with the only issue of note some minor bubbling to the NSR arch beneath the petrol filler flap. Excellent chrome. Ditto light blue interior (which has clearly been retrimmed). The car receiving an annual underseal by the current doting owner.

You would expect me to ask whether he kept the original 8 track player and I can confirm it comes with the car!

Nearest offer to £50,000 secures.

** Now reduced to £39,000 (insurance valuation £45,000 - valued by Appleyards in 2016). **

Dennis can be contacted on 07964 901721. The car is based in Middlesbrough.

Car looks good. Different contrast with blue trim. Just out of interest would you have the chassis no ?. I am currently restoring 115/3227. Cheers - Rod

I have messaged the owner for the chassis number as neither the registration or his name are on my lists. It could be a new survivor :D then again it could be shoddy work on my behalf
EDIT
just been told it is 115/2885 - new survivor I will update the site soon and there could be another new survivor that Chris spotted on eBay

Very good looking car.

My guess would be an (early) Augustus 1968 car. G reg is from Aug 1 onwards, some details like the wooden steering wheel and part chrome window switches would point to be a pre September.

Yep, the chassis number mentioned is correct. Kingpin model by the looks of it.

Ex factory 21/6/68. When delivered it had a private plate. The (non original) G plate really should be a F plate then.... :D

Nope :D

That car, under my care now and appropriately pampered, has a light grey interior trim with dark grey piping.
Very similar exterior though.

Now on CarandClassics https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1097960" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and Pistonheads web sites at £42,995 with better pictures.

For the avoidance of doubt, I've not seen or valued the car.
