This wonderful example of the 541R has been on the road all its life and well maintained by its owners. I have owned it for the last 13 years after importing it from the UK. It is driven regularly on weekends and all routine maintenance is up to date. But it is time to find the car a new home.
The 541R is a comfortable car, it loves to sit on the highway and cruise at speed. With its high torque engine, electric overdrive, 4 wheel disc brakes and a very balanced chassis, life could not be better.

Tony has failed to point out that this car was owned (but not raced as far as I know) by Gerry Marshall. Hopefully I have got the right chassis number.

Hi Dave,

Yes #397 was owned by Gerry Marshall. There are letters from most the owners with the car, but not from Gerry. Gerry had a strong liking for for 541R and owned some for a while including within his own collection, I do not have exacts dates but it seems he had #397 for just a short while. I was told Gerry did a bit of buying and selling of cars on the side.

In the records that came with a card there is a hand written comment "541R reg No 669 LPF was raced at Brands Hatch by Gerry Marshall. No more information is available". Gerry owned the car in 1973, but I have not tried to confirm this information.
