A terrific and well known car.
In fact, possibly the car which persuaded me to join the JOC, after seeing it in France in 2006 during Zac Marshall's ownership.

What a beautiful car, loving the interior.
Re: FF @ Pale classics
Lovely looking car.
Is the maxarat missing?

The interior does look nice and original.Rotor-G wrote:Lovely looking car.

It looks like a new Mk3 servo (not maxaret compatible) and master cylinder (without remote reservoirs) has been fitted too. If all the original servo, maxaret etc come with the car, maybe it has upgraded calipers too, then it is not a bad idea for the wealthy type that wants easy maintenance and safe brakes while the other stuff gets sorted.

I hope there's not too much to sort at that price! Haven't they had this for sale before?johnw wrote:while the other stuff gets sorted.

Yes, Pale Classics sold this car a couple of years ago. It's my understanding that the current owner is looking at changing to a different car after enjoying it for the past 2 years.MikeWilliams wrote:I hope there's not too much to sort at that price! Some pictures of the advert from 3 years ago, when the car was at a show. It still had a Mk3 servo fitted back then. Can't see the maxaret, but a nice engine bay shot showing electric choke, alloy manifold etc. Non standard bits didn't stop it getting a good price last time. It does seem to make sense to get a usable classic instead of buying new.

Re: FF @ Pale classics
Non Standard bits?? It sold at a good price. Of course she did. Wot on earth do you lot want. A time capsule that often is a source of slight insanity? Or a sensible upgraded quality car.
I really think this is the aspergers coming out again among many of you. Ask CB or ReJen whether their customers for the "new" cars give a rats arse about absolute originality. Of course not. New money is only buying the best of the Jensens and most of them are the discreet sales from the usual suspects at top money. Concourse is a time wasting affair and rarely shows on road quality.......just cotton wool buds lying next to car. Owner of past two years has a seemingly lame excuse for moving this FF along. The love didn't stay long. Perhaps the FF didn't like him kenny38

Re: FF @ Pale classics
I suspect the owner has loved the car but unless he/she is ultra wealthy, there are too many cars to love to hang on to an FF for ever.
With around £150k to spend, there's a lot of lovely cars to try and not enough time

Glad to see they have gotten rid of those yellow spark plug wires that some backyard mechanic installed!

Re: FF @ Pale classics
Some links to when I got the car back from Colin and when Colin was working his magic.

As has been said the current owner has a collection of classics and seems to chop and change them now and then.
I must nip over to Pale Classics and have a look ......
At least I got some serious use out of the car post restoration before giving in to temptation (and the need to eat...)
The interior is original apart from one side of the seat base on the drivers seat, Rejen did a fantastic job of replacing one section of the leather and Colin did a fantastic job of rejuvenating the rest.
In some ways I prefer the C-V8 I have now but I do miss the old girl

Re: FF @ Pale classics
You are a lucky man to have had one of these classics, let alone to be able to compare and contrast between two (or more?) of them!
Well done!
